Amy Burch, P.E.
Following 15 years of consulting experience in the traffic engineering and transportation planning industry, Amy created Burch Transportation, LLC to embody her values and vision for transportation sustainability, mobility, and equity for all. Amy’s diverse career in transportation engineering and planning includes a mix of both public and private sector work in Nashville and throughout middle Tennessee. She is in-tune with local master plans, programs, and capital projects as well as emerging industry trends and standards. This affords Amy the ability to recognize opportunities to collaborate between stakeholders so that planning and projects result in greater efficiency and benefits for the public. Amy has managed and produced numerous development-driven traffic impact studies, conducted safety studies, and developed conceptual improvement designs.

Jeff Hammond, P.E.
Jeff is a well-versed transportation engineer having managed numerous projects over his 20-year career including major thoroughfare plans, comprehensive transportation plans, roadway safety studies and design, and bikeway and pedestrian plans. He is experienced in traffic capacity and operational analyses, preliminary project design, travel demand modeling, ITS architecture development, transportation policy development, and preparation of traffic circulation and corridor studies. His design experience includes intersection traffic control including signalization and roundabouts, roadway signing and marking, interstate interchanges, and non-motorized accommodations.

Kayla Ferguson, P.E., AICP
Kayla is an engineer and planner with over a decade of experience serving both private and public clients. Her career has centered largely on the nexus between transportation engineering and planning. Her focus in traffic engineering includes operational analyses of corridors and intersections, preparation of traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies, parking studies, site and campus circulation plans, bicycle and pedestrian level of service analysis, and detailed crash studies. In planning, Kayla has developed transportation plans, policies, and recommendations at all scales and in urban and rural areas across Tennessee. This experience includes statewide long range transportation plans, large and small urban metropolitan transportation plans, transportation policy studies, corridor studies, freight plans, bicycle and pedestrian plans, comprehensive land use plans, major thoroughfare plans, ITS architectures, rural community plans, and public and stakeholder engagement strategies. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys competing on the ultimate frisbee field, kayaking with her family, and gardening.

Jenny Brownlie-Carey, P.E.
Jenny is an accomplished engineer with over 8 years of experience in the civil and transportation engineering industry. She has experience working with a diverse range of clients, including government agencies, private developers, and transportation agencies. With her expertise in traffic engineering, Jenny has produced a wide range of development-driven traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies, parking studies, conceptual improvement designs, and traffic calming plans. She also has a depth of knowledge of site design and AutoCAD as she spent three years within the civil engineering sector. When she’s not working, you can find Jenny chasing her two young boys, organizing her home, or at the beach.
