A new school located to a renovated building on the corner of 2nd Avenue S and Elm Street in the SoBro area of Nashville, TN. A traffic study prepared for the redevelopment recommended a new pedestrian activated flashing beacon to provide for safer pedestrian crossings between the new school and the inbound bus stop located on the opposite side of the street. Burch Transportation prepared the pedestrian signal design on behalf of the contractor. The design includes new ADA compliant pedestrian ramps and pedestrian-activated rectangular rapid flashing beacons and pedestrian signage. Burch Transportation coordinated with Metro Public Works regarding the design layout and approval.
